Our Safety Commitment

Safety comes first at CFC. To us, it’s personal.
Committed to ensuring that everyone comes home safe everyday.
SAFETY IS CFC’S #1 FOCUS.

Safety is CFC’s #1 focus. We take great care in securing the safety of our workers, the public, and the properties where we’re working. We’re committed to ensuring that everyone comes home safe everyday.

We are proud of our safety record. The results speak for themselves: We are among the best in the industry. In 2017, CFC was honored to be accepted into the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Colorado’s Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) Partnership between AGC, its member companies, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). CFC first achieved the “Blue” level of participation, the highest level possible, in 2018. We have retained our standing ever since.

It all starts with
TREATING SAFETY AS A CORE VALUE.

We treat safety as far more than a set of regulations to be followed. Instead, safety is a foundational principle for our core values. Leadership sets the tone from the top that safety must be everyone’s #1 priority. CFC’s in-house Safety Council meets regularly to review policies, procedures, and any incidents, making updates as needed.

It’s reinforced with
EMPLOYEE TRAINING AND UPDATES.

Safety training is provided during new employee orientation and reinforced in the employee handbook. All CFC field supervisors complete OSHA 30-hour training. Project teams are responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly safety deliverables. As needed, we hold update meetings to ensure that employees are up to date on changes.

We extend our influence with
SUBCONTRACTOR TRAINING & MEETINGS.

Subcontractor safety performance is a key criterion for working with us. We offer OSHA 30-hour training to all CFC subs. We hold trade partnering meetings with frequent collaborators to review safety goals, policies, and procedures. All subcontractor crews complete project-specific safety orientation prior to beginning work on a site.

NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT

CFC’S SAFETY VISION

CFC’s people are REAL BUILDERS and our most valuable asset. Nothing is more important than the safety of our people and those who come into contact with our work. No job is so important that we cannot perform it safely. Every accident is preventable. Zero accidents is our goal. We have an unwavering commitment to that goal. When you think about it, anything less is just unacceptable. This is part of what we mean by REAL RESULTS.

ENSURING SAFE WORKING PRACTICES

JOB SITE SAFETY

CFC’s commitment to safety includes ensuring safe working practices on every job site every day. Every project receives a detailed Site-Specific Safety Plan, as well as project-specific orientation for CFC employees, subcontractors, and customer field personnel. CFC’s world-class safety practices translate to measurable value for our clients in several ways.

EFFICIENCY & PRODUCTIVITY

Ongoing attention on ensuring job site safety and avoiding incidents helps our teams work more efficiently. This improves productivity and helps us consistently meet your timelines.

IMPROVED ECONOMICS

Improved efficiency and productivity help us reduce costs, improve quality, and streamline project management. This supports better project economics for you.

SAFEGUARDED REPUTATION

A safe, accident-free job site helps you maintain positive relationships with neighbors, regulators, and the local community. Your reputation is protected at every step.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

By ensuring the highest levels of OSHA compliance, we make sure you’re compliant with all health, safety, and building regulations. You’ll avoid surprises and proceed with confidence.

CFC Founder’s Safety Award

“COMING HOME”

CFC’s founder, EJ Olbright, built a company that puts people first. CFC has always been field-focused, recognizing that the real physical work of building construction happens at the project site. CFC’s unwavering commitment to safety protects the men and women who work on-site and ensures they return home safe at the end of each workday.

The theme “Coming Home” symbolizes CFC’s commitment to people and their families. Since its establishment in 2018, the CFC Founder’s Safety Award recognizes the project team that best exemplifies CFC’s commitment to its safety culture.

“Coming Home” is a work by Loveland-based sculptor Joey Bainer. Bainer’s previous work includes collaborating on a sculpture of Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins which is on display at the Kennedy Space Center.
