This project included the construction of a 7,500-square-foot state-of-the-art air rescue and firefighting facility. It included a single-story steel and masonry building and related sitework. Native stone and wood trim were used to complement the architecture of the existing surrounding buildings. All work was completed within an operating airport. The building was constructed for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in conjunction with Pitkin County Government. It was built to upgrade Aspen/Pitkin County Airport to 1993 FAA standards.
