Professional and Educational Background
When Autymn was growing up, her father and grandfather owned a heavy industrialized steam cleaning business. After school, she enjoyed hearing the war stories, jokes, and camaraderie of their crew around her kitchen table. It felt like something she wanted to be part of. That’s why, at age 18, her first job found her working as a receptionist for a general contractor. By 2000, Autymn was a Project Coordinator at a nationally ranked commercial contractor in Colorado, where she first worked alongside CFC leaders like Orville Hinerman and Pat Smith. Over the next 20 years, Autymn continued gaining field experience with a range of general contractors and commercial tenant interior specialists, including one of the world’s largest commercial real estate services firms; a woman-owned national commercial contractor known for its award-winning interiors; and a Colorado-based contractor focused on corporate interiors. She also earned her BS in Business Administration (project management emphasis, cum laude) from Regis University and her certificate in Estimating from Arapahoe Community College.
Following six years of estimating experience on interiors projects, Autymn recognized her central calling: collaborating with clients on the capital upgrade, restructuring, and repositioning projects that help them keep their buildings fresh, relevant, and energy-efficient. When CFC sought a leader for its Special Projects division, they reached out to Autymn, whom many CFC leaders had known for 20+ years. She is excited to help serve CFC’s clients in an entirely new way, building new relationships while expanding existing ones.
What Autymn Values Most About Working at CFC
Autymn greatly appreciates CFC’s supportive, empowering, relationship-based environment. “Nobody wants to see anybody fail,” she explains. She also values the confidence and support she feels from other CFC leaders. “They’re trusting me to do something that’s never been done before, and to work hard — and work alongside them — to make it happen.”
