Buffalo Ridge is a 15 building, 244-unit, affordable apartment community located on the north side of Interstate-70 at the Avon exit. The development consists of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. Tuck-under garages are incorporated into the north side of each building, and south side decks add passive solar and light to each living space.
The project required $3 million worth of earthwork, including the extension of a public street, a bike path, construction of three large debris flow mitigation structures, and extensive landscaping.
The project was financed through a combination of HUD 6320 Corporation funding, private activity bonds, and tax credits. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rules applied to this project.
